The Great Question

On Egg Shells

This Impressionistic Artistic rendering mixes; the complexities of today’s complications in advanced technology, mass production, along with older world suggestions of tried and true testaments. Here we see a “chickens running around with their heads cut off” all whilst the dealings of finite stressors invoke the feeling of “walking on eggshells”. These daily life confusions are implied with neutral color tones in a classic knife and brush suggestive technique paired with computer enhancement as to further convey the sentimentally mixed times of today’s world.

One with the Mirror

In this cameo inspired surreal piece, portraying both duality and onen neaess simultaneously, we find ourselves caught somewhere in the middle. It vaguely suggests the two alter egos of one, while also hinting on the fact that there is something in disguise within the subject, in this case; one of a beautiful woman revealing a young and off colored seeming male figure. Both beautiful, and abstract, and the use of purely neutral tones, with the subject just slightly off center, this piece is rather difficult to ignore as it demands much attention from the imagination.

The Divine Touch

In this other worldly, heaven like scene we see the man or Leonardo’s “Adam” receiving divine knowledge from “GOD”. Here GOD is depicted as a human brain, promoting thoughts of our own divine nature as creations of the divine and being gifted free thought.

Mind the puppet master

On a simple abstract, red stroked backdrop we find a figure standing in a side view pose with a seemingly relaxed composure, save for the skull-cap is missing. With the upper portion of the brain exposed and connected by puppeteer’s strings to a toying hand, it is unclear if it is the figures hand or that of another.

On The Bright Side

Astronomy is a great subject of Art. Here we see an amateur Astronomer at work in the field; star gazing. Yet in this scenario The viewer has his telescope set on a planetary object that is the brain. This suggests that the human mind is something that is visible, yet far off and distant, leaving it up for much study.

Inner Space Cadet

Space, the last frontier? In this mind bending, alter reality, “magical school bus” type trip scenario we see an astronaut, or “psycho-naut” exploring the brain close up and personal. Dawning a proper space suit the explorer seems to be navigating his way around the inner ethers of the mind.

asleep at the meal

In a dream like fantasy world we find ourselves in what seems to be a kitchen. While the human brain is emerging from a hovering and cracking egg, it is holding a knife and preparing to cut some fresh vegetables. On the table that lies in the foreground sits an awaiting frying pan.

Pumped Up!

In an otherwise quiet, well lit, clean and sterile gym room we find the anthropomorphized brain getting in some reps. Whist breaking a sweat and counting out the reps, we see the knees shaking and the arms bulging as it lifts the heavy weights of thought.

Monkey see, Monkey do not

While almost lost in the darkness as if in hiding, we see a clever portrayal on the classic “see no, hear no, speak no” parable. The three monkeys are squatting on their haunches and protecting them from the three senses. All this whilst their brains are fully exposed, and as the heads in entirety. The descriptive words are in a phantom like smokey white font merely muttering the parabolic phrases.

Unheard Pleas

In this tragic expose of a mental health crisis scene we see a large and generally disturbed anthropomorphized brain with arms in the air and a sense of fear or impending doom in the eyes. This brash imagery leaves one with a feeling of sympathy or misunderstanding in the least for the figure. Above the “head” we see a large cartoon analog balloon reading; HELP! With the loud shout and the active police squad car in the immediate foreground one can only begin to assume that the situation portrayed is one of most dire means.

HeadCase HeadCaged

Of a derelict prison with blank walls, sterile floors, and bright lights, we are caught somewhere in between the view inside, and that of the dismal and dreary exterior. While The caged figure reaches through the bars for a key to the cell we see an over bearing prison guard executing excessive force. The inmate appears to be nude and is in silhouette with a fully exposed brain, while the guard sports a modest golden belt buckle and unkempt hair as whilst wielding a baton. On the exterior gates wrought iron stakes we see poorly fastened finials that a lone black bird perches upon in speculation.

Love Within Thyself

Love within thyself; though it is something we are all completely capable of, it is far too oft that we forget or neglect certain aspects of our own selves. In this interesting piece we see a man and woman or feminine and masculine characters represented by the heads of a heart and a brain, or of love and emotion along side logic and rational thought. It is though the two are meeting for the first time or in the least discussing something interesting and engaging. Set in a scene of a park on a calm springs day with green grass and flowing water, they sit facing one another with suggestive body language pointing to a light hearted romantic nature. With two distant on lookers it seems that their other worldly presence is of a speculative sort.

OVER THE CHASM

Upon the suggested tight rope of life we see a figure walking with a pole in hand, from this are suspended both the heart and the brain. While the tight rope is anchored to two mountain peaks with no bottom to be seen it highly suggests the great peril and precarious nature of this feat. The imagery highlights the constant struggle in life to walk ever so surefootedly, and bears reminder to the serious ramifications for any false stepping.

Internal Balance

Upon the hypothetical scales of justice are placed both the human heart opposed with the brain. These anatomical depictions in color stand out in contrast to the cold hard metallic scale. With frayed chords that hold the scales plates, and suggestive scissors in the field; there are many facets to ponder here in this Philosophical dilemma. The Latin word “Amare” or love hang tightly above the heart while over the brain reads “Logica” or logic. With the scales not tipped in either direction it suggests that both are highly important but equal in value.

You Mean Everything To Me

This tragic image of a masculine anthropomorphized brain administering C.P.R. to a feminine anthropomorphized heart along a roadside with an ambulance on scene leaves one to only ask; what happened? What does this mean..? It is the representation of the integral codependency that is vital to human life between the two hyper-imperative love and logic organs of our bodies.

THE GREAT QUESTION

In this highly invoking piece we see a man holding his own detached head in his hands with his arms out, he’s comfortably resting on a stump, seemingly looking into his own mind or soul for questions unknown. Amidst an other wise mostly blank canvas it leads one to wonder; just what is it that he questions so, and why. This imagery conjures up our own thoughts on such deep questions…

What Goes Up Must Come Down

Here we find a parachute lowering the mind, or brain down with ease in juxtaposed position to a heart acting as a hot air balloon lifting an empty basket up to the clouds. All this takes place on a seemingly calm and sunny day with nothing but blue skies. With a bleak mountain backdrop, one can only begin to wonder what is actually going on here..?

How Well Do We

In this juxtaposed color and abstractive thought provoking side portrait of a reptilian green, star eyed figure, we see a view into the brain cavity via an X-ray microsope. Though the brain appears to be mainly pink and healthy, there are so many relevantly suggestive features to this otherwise seemingly simple portrait that begs of the piece’ title: “How Well Do We”…?

invention of inflation

The “Bad Year Blimp” seen in this comical twist of sky high imagery is one of ethereal thoughts up in the clouds grounded by the assimilation to an actual Blimp which is one of curiosity in the start. with melancholic somewhat foggy yet clear skies, we are left to wonder______..?

YOU CAN RUN

This desert ‘cartoon-ish’ landscape gives way to the image of a man trying to out run his own problems that haunt him, “his mind”. Or perhaps the viewer might suspect that the man’s brain is trying to catch up with him in this cat and mouse game of life.

From The "Bottom" Of My Heart

Here we find ourselves viewing a scene set in an institutional hospital, where a brain is bringing flowers to a heart wandering the hallways of the infirmary. The heart appears to be lost, broken, or confused as it saunters about; with its back towards you thus hiding its expression leaves mystery hidden in the truth of the matter.

The Golden Monster

Here we see a “King Midas” like Representation of a person with the face as a golden brain. The figure seems to be in a deep state of repose, or even remorse. With nothing but a dark and foreboding bleak backdrop the weight of “The Golden Monster” seems to weigh heavy on the figure’s body and mind, despite being made of pure gold.

Thine Own Worst

In this rendering of a brains maniacal side we see the chaos a brain can endure or even create itself. With bulging blood shot eyes filled with the look of craze, and a grimaced jaw agape the brain holds a torch in one hand while surrounded by volcanoes and a lake of fire. With the intentions unclear it arises many questions as to what are the motives and or the situation. Upon reflection one can begin to wonder what lies within ourselves, what fires do we have, what smoldering embers still burn at our core.

WHAT CAME FIRST

The age old question; What came first, the chicken or the egg..? Here we see both of the subjects pondering this timeless conundrum in a hearty laugh provoking manner seemingly fit and appropriate for the nature of such a query.

Greatful Head

This seemingly simple depiction will actually catch you “dead” in your tracks. Here we see a man of faith on a bent knee in prayer at the foot of a crucifix. The crucifix portrays the face of the Lord and savior of Christianity “Jesus Christ”. We see both the man with a completely exposed brain and the risen form of Christ weeping together, thus suggesting the pain, joy, and understanding between both man kind and the divine.

Off The Edge

This is a simple yet grand expose of a solitary mountain peak, clean clearcut, unhindered by anything else. Simply outlined by a shaky-handed oval “cameo” reveals this as a masterpiece of the simplest form yet grandiose by nature. The im-perfect lines lead to the truth of organic blips in perfection, as it is the imperfections that do make such things beautiful by nature itself. The one lone silhouette of a far off bird leads one to a state of distant perspective.

I'M FINE

This piece depicts the mind in a catatonic like state, in a strange yet parallel surrounding putting on heirs; as to convince itself and the world around “him” that he is Fine!

A Tangled Mess

While provoking the fear of falling, being caught or stuck, and imminent attack or becoming prey; here we see a figure caught in between a heart and the mind in a hypothetical spiders web of thought and emotion, with the now dominant predator lurking in the shadowy corner; doubt and worry is portrayed by the spider.
